Nero is about 12-18 months old, and is the most handsome, glossy, beautifully-natured boy you could wish to meet. Nero is such a gentle boy that he has been on 'special duty' at the Home this week. The Home is fortunate to have a fantastic special needs group of volunteer walkers who come with their carers and prefer to walk with the calmest, most polite of our dogs. Needless to say, they have been queuing up to walk this gentle soul, and Nero has proven himself to be a model of good-doggy-manners on his lead. Please form an orderly queue if you are looking for a fabulous Staffie boy - Nero only became available for rehoming yesterday Someone is going to be very lucky to have this lovely boy as part of their family. Nero was a Home Ambassador at the Team Barclays Volunteer Day this week. Have a peek at just how brilliantly he represented the dogs at the Home here

Hi folks It's Nero here! I had to take a new volunteer dog walker out today, show her the ropes and all that We went for a stroll, ahhh, it was lovely to feel a bit of grass under my paws.. My walker got the hang of it quite quickly, and she managed to keep the lead slack most of the time. I showed her how to walk very calmly along the main road, and then I took her up my favourite public footpath, where we met quite a few dogs, walkers, youths, a skate boarder, a loose collie out with his dad, and fair play, Baglady walked besides me very calmly, so I thought it would be safe to stop and say 'hello' to some people, as she was doing so well I made friends with a lovely family and stopped for a picture.... .... and this lovely young lady's family might, just might, pop down the home to register as dog walkers, they were so impressed with me (if I say so myself) My job done, I took baglady back to the Home, and taught her how to give me a treat, which she soon got the hang of. Bye for now *woof* Nero xx
