I've been reading some of the threads where boarding kennels have been suggested and been on the Pentyrch Kennels website which looks really nice. I guess what I'm wondering is if boarding Buster would effect him psychologically after spending so much time in the pound? Or am I worrying unnecessarily (as usual!)? Reason I ask is I have to go to the London office for work on 9 December and then (hopefully) graduation in Nottingham the next day, so it's probably going to be 3 days at least. Don't want him thinking I've abandoned him

I would go with boarding kennels every time Kathleen. Buster coped extremely well in kennels for a very long time, I know he started to get a bit sad during his last couple of weeks, but I'm sure he has put his past behind him now he's in a loving, safe home Have a great time and congrats on your forthcoming graduation

Hi Kathleen, pentyrch are fantastic, it's not like a kennel environment at all and I bet Buster will love it!
Biscuit loved it there & he has SA but the staff were fab with him and he was so happy coming out. I know Becky has used them too. You can pop down for a visit before hand we did, and was so pleased with the facilities. I'd highly recommend them 😊 x

Mine have been to Pentyrch for 3 short weekends over the last 6 months and I wouldnt take them anywhere else. They go beserk when they see one of the girls that work there ;D You have complete peace of mind that they are safe which I personally dont think I would have from a dog sitter.
I know you dont have a car Kathleen so if you want a lift up to take a look around one weekend just let me know and I can take you. I know you and Buster love your walks but I think its a bit far even for you guys ;D Just pop me a pm here and we can sort something if you want x
