Wow, I think that really impressive Gill - knitting machines have always looked well complicated to me - very impressed at managing 4 squares in an hour ;D

Hiya Gill, yep! know what you mean I've had a basic machine for years, and I'm probably still a few steps behind you I have put your name on those Knitting Machine Monthly (?) pattern books/ If we're going to be in the same place at the same time, give me a nudge and I'll make sure I've got them with me (pm admin) I do have some cone wool too that I'm more than happy to see the back of share, so remind me about that too Susie x

Hi Gill,
The squares look great! I've been knitting little 6'' x 6'' squares with the idea of making small dog/cat blankets for the xmas fayre. I've roped in my mum/sister/friend etc ..... the more the merrier!
I've got plenty of wool so if you get bored of dog coats and want to join in with ''knitting squares for the xmas fayre'', give me a shout. x

Hi
The squares I am doing are for blankets for who ever wants to stitch them together, for the fayre.
Susie would love some cone wool...at the moment I am unrapping balls as I use the machine it's a pain.
Got 19 squares done in all just about to do some more.
Might try to make the meeting tonight....how long roughly will it go on for.
Gill

Hi Gill, I'm happy to collect the first batch of squares and start stitching them together.
I'm off work this afternoon and tomorrow so would happily collect them either from the Dogs Home or directly from you if you're based in Cardiff. Let me know,
Emma.

I have a friend who could probably help put some designs into squares - what sizes are they?

I've been like Gollum sorry, I knew I'd seen this somewhere It was hiding in my emails, under a pile of ironing I'm knitting 6" x6" squares. I've been using size 5 1/2 needles and casting on 25 stitches with either chunky wool or two strands of DK wool. It doesn't really matter too much what stitch you use or what wool, as long as we get the square the correct size, I can always match up the chunky ones when I put them together.
Thanks for this Emma, shuwee just keep going? I did take some beautiful flame orange wool from you on Wednesday (I really am like Gollum, I luffs precious things) but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to turn it into squares this week. If anyone can, I'll bring it to the Home tomoz (between 11.00am and 1 o'clock). I am cracking on with the fleecy tugs though
