Meet Trevor Trevor was an absolute delight when he came out for his photo's. He is a small staffie lad with a big personality! He was very excited to be out of his kennel and came straight in for some cwtches and staffie snogs He seems to really enjoy having a bit of attention and was in his element when he was getting a fuss from Becky. Trevor enjoyed his treats, but wasn't quite able to concentrate enough to show us a sit. He had good manners with his treats though and took them very gently. Trevor is available for rehoming from 17th March. If you'd like more info on him, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm.

me and my family met trevor yesterday and took him for a little walk (didn't realise we could have taken him a lot further than we did til we got back to the home!), and he's brilliant! really hoping we can adopt him!

This handsome boy is rather small for a Staffie I thought! He pulled a little bit on the lead but he was very into his walk, sniffing everywhere around him. He wasn't too bothered about treats but maybe I didn't pick his favourites! He looks like he is always smiling. When I made a fuss of him, he was so friendly and happy to have some love.

I walked this lovely boy today. He zoomed out of his kennel at 100 miles an hour, he was like a kid leaving a party full of pop and sugar, but he settled into the walk. He really was a lovely boy to walk, he did tend to cross in front of you back and forth so walkers be careful you don't get tripped up! Bless him he nearly had me over at one point by doing this. We had a lovely chat, as I always like to chat to the dogs as we go along, I talk about anything just so they get used to normal human companionship as this is something so many of them have not had in a long time before they get to CDH. We picked our cars at the porsche garage, and then carried on. We both settled on the white one with the green wheels! Trevor enjoyed sniffing all the new smells. He wasn't too fussed on treats and was more interested in just being out and enjoying his time out of the kennel. This boy is going to be a lot of fun to be with.

Trev, Trev, Trev.
I took the handsome Trevor out immediately after a meet with a potential new family. Unfortunately, their pooch didn't get on with Trevor which was really really sad as Trevor was a perfect gentleman and he clearly so wanted to go with the family. Poor poor Trev
Trevor was a little wound up at first and just wanted to bound away....... he kept looking at me as it to say come on, hurry up!!! After a while he calmed down. He clearly loves his walks as he tail was going like mad all the way round. We stopped under the bridge for a while to shelter from the rain and boy he loves his treats, which he does a lovely sit for (after a bit of encouragement) and we had a lovely cwtch. Bless him.... he really is a loveable little rogue.
On the way back to CDH we bumped into the Dad of the family he'd met early and still his pooch didn't want to know....poor Trev just stood in the middle of the lane watching them walk away, I couldn't get him to move.....he just stood there, still as anything, watching for ages!! Bless him!!
Trevor clearly wants a loving family to call his own and when he does they will be so lucky to have him in their lives as he really is a little gem.

I had the pleasure of a fab walk with handsome Trevor today. He pulled a bit at first, but soon settled and was a joy to take out. He wasn't worried about the passing traffic, cyclists or people who passed. He did seem excited when passing other dogs but no signs of aggression. In fact, when we got back to the home Susie walked the fab Baz in parallel with us and even though Trevor was excited to see Baz ,again showed no aggression just excitement. Trevor is a stunning little boy with a lovely temperament and deserves a wonderful home.

I had the absolute pleasure of this little fellas company today for a couple of hours and I simply cant fault him With permission from the staff, I took Trev in the car to Cosmeston lakes with fellow residents Sam and Kayno. We kept the lads at a safe distance from each other but they were relaxed around each other Trevor showed impeccable manners around all the dogs that were out and about today, even a rude off lead Collie who thought it was acceptable to just zoom at the dogs 100mph didn't faze him! He walks well on the lead, he is only a small boy so he is easy enough to manage. Trevor wasn't looking for treats, I think being out is treat enough for him, but the few that I did give him, he took ever so gently! He walked well and confidently in the busier areas, passed swans without a second glance and was happy to stop for a few pics. He is very photogenic!!! Staffie fans (and dogs fans in general!) this boy is golden! He is calm, affectionate, gentle, laid back and seems very well mannered around other dogs. He is also beautiful to look at! Trevor is in the stable block so please ask the staff for him by name, take him for a walk, have a play in the garden with him and then go and buy all new stuff for him because I guarantee, you wont be able to leave him there

Apparently Trevor had a rather torrid time of it earlier so could he have a nice walk with our Elsie. His photos don't do him any justice he truly is a gorgeous little boy,and on the plus side he takes up very little sofa space. All he wanted to do was keep up with Elsie love him, and il be honest Elsie can be shall we say a bit indifferent but she didn't growl at Trevor who was always putting on the charm, licking Elsie,s face every opportunity he had. This little man has a genuine love for everything and everyone he never stops smiling. Whoever is lucky enough to snap this boy up will have an absolute lifetime of love. Trevor the pleasure was ours your alright with me sunshine. Good luck little man.
