Hi all
I want to take my gorgeous Misty to France this summer and drive over. This would be the first time taking her abroad. I have read on a few internet searches that staffies can't go into France (so ridiculous) and Misty is a lab/cross staffy. Well possibly she is as I got her from the dogs home and so can only be the best guess without knowing her history. I have got her pet passport done and the vet has written SBT cross lab on it which is sort of making out that she's more staffy rather than a lab cross and I don't know if that would cause any probs in France. Anyway, I wondered if anyone has any experience of taking a staffy cross into France please? Thanks so much. xx

This will be a problem for me if it's true, we travel through France to get to Belgium to visit family with our dogs

There doesn't seem to be a definitive answer around but there seems to be a concern over staffy crosses. Full staffy with papers seems to be ok, it seems to be cross breeds that are the sticking point as there seems to be a discrepancy over whether they are pitbull types (go figure) or being brought in for dog fighting and classified as attack dogs. I have had a quick scan around online and can't see anything anything particularly official or definitive though.

Thanks for your posts. Yeah I am finding it quite tricky to get a definite answer online too and I'm not sure whether to take the chance on going. :-(
