Hi all!
We took Louie out today - my goodness what a bundle of fun and energy this little lad is!
He is such a cute dut, and a beautiful colour, with a big smiley face - who can't help but fall a little bit in love!
However, he needs training - this lad has got the brains, the enthusiasm and, being a youngster, the energy for it
He is so keen to please, but needs some boundaries and to know what's acceptable and what isn't. I'm not sure how old he is, but in human years I reckon he's hit the toddler two's!
We were out onto the Ely trail at breakneck speed, and Louie was keen to say hello to us and everyone else - he is quite strong on the lead, and this doesn't really let up! If you're looking for a leisurely stroll with a doggy pal, this boy is not it - he's keen, eager and excited!
He is very keen to socialise with other dogs, but doesn't know how to yet - he wants to play, but was also easily distracted by a treat, or a whistle to keep us on our way.
Once we got to our half way mark (the first bench), he did calm as we sat and all had refreshments; he was also well mannered, and waited for us to finish before I had a paw on my knee, and those big beautiful staffy eyes were looking at me, nose twitching and a huge 'smile'!! Ok, ok, let's see if you'll sit - he did, and he was rewarded
Louie was brilliant around the girls (2.5yrs and 4yrs) and remained still long enough to let them stroke him. He was also happy to wait for them if we walked on ahead, whilst they caught up.
Louie is a great boy, and really needs someone who is willing to put time and patience into training him and setting the rules/boundaries - I think if you did that he would be an absolute ace dog!
Swan watching, although Louie wasn't that fussed...
Having our half way refreshments :-)
Showing what a smart boy he is with a perfect sit...
Louie is a striking colour, and such a handsome face - he's also a dinky-dut!
