Well, hello beautiful
Heidi has been surrendered to CDH along with Jinsky so we know a fair bit about her.
Firstly, she is very pretty
Heidi is one year old, and has been spayed. She is very well behaved around children, has lived with another dog, and with cats, but it's probably fair to say the cats won't be missing her! Heidi doesn't particularly like travelling, but she is only a youngster generally that's nothing that time and patience can't sort. She is clean in the house, doesn't chew things she isn't supposed to, and is used to being left for periods of up to 4 hours. Like many little terriers, Heidi greets visitors rather vocally, just to let them know she's there
Heidi is very affectionate and playful, she loved being near us, and constantly comes up to you for fusses and cuddles, but she's no lap dog and although she tolerated being picked up by Josh, she seems to prefer to keep her paws on the ground.
Heidi didn't seem to know how to play, she was intrigued by toys, but seemed more interested in having zoomies around the vet room, with regular 'return to base for a cuddle' sessions.
But within no time, it all got a bit much for her, and she soon settled down on her blankie, giving us her very best 'sad puppy' face.
Heidi is sharing a large vet cage with her bf Jinsky.
Like all girls, they share their secrets......
Although it would be nice for the girls to be rehomed together, the staff may consider separating them if a suitable home for the pair can't be found. Whilst they obviously enjoy each other's company, they don't appear to be overly dependent on each other. Heidi is the most outgoing and confident of the two, and is available for rehoming immediately. Apparently neither dogs have ever been walked on lead, although they have had access to a large garden. Heidi may need some help getting used to a lead, and to the sights and sounds and smells she will encounter when out for walkies.
If you'd like more information on her, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7days a week, 10.30 - 4pm.
