Just a quicky to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and a safe and contented new year, this applies to your animals as well.. We have now been working as a team for six months and have achieved a lot, we have actually got the charity up and running. This is quite an achievment and thanks must go to everbody who has put such effort into the venture, especially Suzie who never seems to run out of energy or enthusiasm. I love the membership application forms which will give people a sence of belonging to the charity.
The RSPCA have CLOSED the charity shop on Welfield Rd. Cardiff from 19th. December until 5th. January 2012 at the busiest time of the year for retailing. I have been contacted by quite a few people who are very annoyed at this, feeling it is an insult to all who have donated money, goods and in many cases their free time to the society. Quite a few of these people have expressed interest in joining Friends of Cardiff Dogs Home, where I have told them everything is appreciated. The good people of Cardiff seam to be behind us, as was shown at our dog show sucess in raising so much cash.
Let us look forward to next year with a positive attitude. We will have the od hickup, but with people support and a great team of grafters we will make it a year to remember and help as many dogs improve their lives....that in it"s self should make us all happy. ..Look forward to seeing you all after the festive season is over. Happy Christmas, John Bravery & Sacha (the poodle)
