apparently a regular occurrence in the Philippines and Thailand. they like to think that if the dogs are beaten and tortured before they are killed the adrenalin rush makes them taste i better

Yes, the way these dogs are treated before death is absolutely appalling and this I think is the main humanitarian issue. Humans eat different animals depending on their culture and an animal is an animal regardless of species. If animals are to be used as food then they deserve to be well looked after and killed in the most humane way possible. Tthere is no excuse for causing suffering to animals no matter what country is involved – and in that respect the Uk still has a way to go.

There is sooo much wrong with this article that I can't reply without writing an essay. But bottom line - she lied and has got herself 2 potentially very difficult to manage pups - for their sake I really hope it works out and hope the paper does a follow up in a yrs time and they are still happy family pups and havn't been returned to rescue
