Be still my beating heart.. Everyone say hello to CDH's newest Casanova, Ollie! As soon as I saw Ollie in his kennel, I knew it was love. This boy is so friendly and just loves dishing out a few snogs, even through the kennel! What a charmer ❤️ We took Ollie into the vet room to get to know him a little better. He was so excited he couldn't even wait to have his lead taken off, he just wanted to say hello to everyone in the room! Judging by his pearly whites, he's only a young lad, and he's definitely a bit of a joker... It wasn't long before he demonstrated his smarts to Aunty Suz, learning a trick or two in barely any time at all Judging by the reactions in these photos, this was the moment he won everyone's hearts If Ollie's owners don't come to claim him, he will be available for rehoming from May 19th. If you would like more information on him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm For more information about the rehoming process at Cardiff Dogs Home, please click on the link below: friendsofcardiffdogs.proboards.com/thread/5880/guide-adoption-procedures

Here's a quick video after just 15 minutes in the vet room with Ollie, he's clever, very attentive and clearly enjoyed working with Susie!

Took this Goofy cuddle monster out today! I broke a walkers rule and forgot my phone today so no pics of this stunning boy, but you can prob guess he's a charmer! He came bounding out of kennels like a bottle of pop, he is young and could do with some four paws on the floor work and he was bounding around like bambi trying to kiss me, but he did calm right down at the end of the lane, and he does respond very well to his name. He is such a sweetheart, he does a lovely sit and paw, and does seem to like his treets so all good for future training, he is still very young and still has a lot of skin on his face to fill! Even for an ABD! He was very good on the lead with little pulling after the initial excitement of coming out. This dog is a sweetheart with tons of love to give, he just can't wait to love you and give kisses! See you soon lovely boy if you don't find your forever home before that xx

Took Ollie out today and he was fab. Initially bouncy but calmed right down once we started walking. Pulls a bit and he's strong but he's still a pup and we had no probs, even when he saw other dogs. He's definitely a cuddle monster! Kept stopping and leaning against me for a cuddle. I love him!

We took Ollie out on Tuesday morning by complete accident. We'd asked for Ziggy but the member of staff who went to get him had a slip of memory and went into Ollie's kennel instead. Of course we weren't going to turn down walkies with any dog, so we headed off after a few big bounces. Ollie is definitely part kangaroo, as well as part cuddle-monster, and he just loves people. I know it can be off-putting to some people when dogs are very bouncy but it's all out of a place of love for Ollie (and with most dogs, to be honest) and he's still such a young and clever boy that he'll be very easy to train. Aside from the initial bounces he's a wonderful walker and spent a lot of the time almost at heel. He is strong and really wants to say hello to everyone he passes, people and dog alike, but there's absolutely no aggression and he will calm down with age/training. When we sat down for some water, a lady appeared with three off-lead dogs. Thankfully she was aware that we were from the Home and wouldn't want Ollie to say hello and rounded her trio up, but Ollie looked so thrilled to see some potential friends. He didn't make a sound but just watched them until they disappeared and then some. He's just got a lot of love to give! He'd check that we were still with him when we were walking and gave us some lovely cwtches when we stopped for water at the benches. He also showed us his sit and a very cute paw, in exchange for a treat. An all-round gorgeous and very clever baby-faced boy who needs some space to bounce!

Oh Ollie! Had the pleasure of walking this stunning chap this morning. He is full of positive energy and couldn't wait to get walking. We soon discovered Ollie loves a big fuss - he is REALLY affectionate and loves human contact. He's a pretty big lad, but is a total softy. We encountered a few off lead dogs on our walk and Ollie was curious and pulled a bit on the lead, but he didn't show any reactive signs - in fact he didn't make a sound on the whole walk. He got a tiny bit startled by a train horn when we walked under the rail bridge, but to be fair, most humans would get startled too! He was soon on his merry way again. He is very intelligent and eager to please - he does an impressive sit and paw and 'checks in' if you call his name. He is patient when offered treats and is gentle when taking them. Ollie is full of personality and is going to make an amazing companion, he's got tons of love to give.
