Oh my This beautiful babe is Felicity and what a joy she is!!! She is only a young un, and was full of beans when we brought her out! She is a very playful girl and enjoyed trying out all the toys we had with us She loved the tennis ball and the pork chop! She was a very good girl though and waited every time for Jen to throw the ball, there was no jumping up or snatching Felicity has clearly been to kindergarten, she has already mastered a cracking sit and paw This girl is a real joy to be around, you cannot spend time with her and not smile! She is an absolute tonic and will be a wonderful addition to someone's family - good luck sweetheart! Felicity will be available for rehoming from 27th July, but the staff at the home will take applications on her now. If you have any questions on Felicity or would like more information on her please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Wow! Took Felicity for a walk today. What a lady! The thing is that she wants to be friends with everybody. Bees, Flies, Butterflies, Humans, Dogs -- everyone! Anything that moves is her friend. Loves everyone and everything - not frightened of anything. Prepare to be licked at every stop! Needed a long walk and still going at the end. A very loving and loveable girl.

What a delightful little pup this dog is. There was just too many things to be friends with in the garden. She was torn between fusses from me, and playing with Mr Pig. She has bags of energy but is such a gentle little dog, She sits and waits patiently for her toy to be thrown then has lots of fun playing with it. She really enjoyed letting off some excess steam and running round. She could have gone all day if i had let her. She really does enjoy human company and doesn't say no to ant attention sh can get, cuddles or play time. She might be small, but she has a great personality! So I sit and you throw the toy, right? come here Mr Pig, I just want to play Yes! I got Mr Pig This is so much fun!

After walking the super young lad Max yesterday we decided to stick with the youngsters and trot out with Felicity today So in early we signed her out and 'had a ball' for the next two hours! Felicity will make you laugh, and laugh and laugh. Instructions for use..... Take one large bottle of fizzy pop. Shake vigorously ..... And open! And there you have her ... Felicity exploding with fizz, excitement, and boundless joy! On signing her out, we asked if she was ok for a longish walk, cue laughter! Yep that will be fine!! Out of the kennels and into the lane, which took about ten minutes to walk as the fizzing Fliss insists of picking up every stick ( even if they are bigger then her !) snuffling every scrap of wind blown paper and chasing every leaf!!! It's very funny but includes a generous amount of affection and interaction. Felicity LOVES people and immediately welcomes you into her world, but be quick because life is flashing by and Felicity wants to keep up! We carry two leads and once in the park attached the two together to give her more room, after a quizzical look or two, she realised and she had more space and used it! She flashed across the pathway and then zoomed back to see if she had missed something interesting.... ( doubtful !) Other walkers have commented that nothing goes unchecked, uninvestigated and if you are not quick enough untasted !!! Dont get the impression that she is a difficult walk, she is not a big girl and any pulling is easily controlled, you just need to keep your wits about you to ensure her enthusiasm doesn't lead her into trouble! We walked for over two hours and Felicity calmed to a pleasant tempo, but any errant leaf crossing her path was still hunted down. Traffic is no problem to her, and people are just unmet friends, passing dogs though do raise a little vocalisation, but it's very much in the 'want to play' mould, not 'get off my land' aggression Felicity is a delight, young, intelligent and loving. In the right home with patience and a little training she will be a wonderful companion. She has bags of energy and needs to use it up, so bear that in mind. But don't let her slip away, she is a little gem!

A late update as I went away for the weekend right after walking the dogs, but better late than never! Though I'm pretty sure Felicity will be saying her goodbyes to the staff soon enough as we spotted her after our walk with potential rehomers! We didn't take Felicity (or Fliss, as we took to calling her) too far as she'd just been spayed and the staff didn't want to risk her pulling her stitches, so we had a quick 20/30 minute walk around and just outside the estate. She's a young lady and can be bouncy and excitable but she's quick to learn and eager to please! Like any young dog she'll need some time and patience when it comes to training, but she's already mastered a beautiful sit and walks fairly well on the lead, so just a bit of polishing needed! I wish we could have taken her further but maybe next time, if she's still there. I highly doubt it though, looking at that gorgeous face! Again, like most young dogs (and most dogs) she can be a bit of a hoover and no stone is left unturned, so just be sure to keep an eye on what's on the ground around you so she doesn't start snacking on something she shouldn't. I really doubt she'll be waiting for her new family much longer!
