Please give a warm welcome to a very special newcomer, Ralph
Ralph has clearly been well cared for, we're told he is nine years old, and looks in excellent shape for his age!
Poor Ralph is an innocent casualty of a recent relationship breakup. Without a doubt it's been a difficult time for his owners, but Ralph never stopped loving anyone, and he must be wondering why he is now homeless....
Ralph is friendly and affectionate, and greeted us like old friends! He gives lovely kisses, but it was our first date after all, so we settle for a warm pawshake! Pleased to meet you Ralph!
Ralph has the most beautiful face, but his lop-sided smile tells a sad tale. We have been informed that Ralph has recently had surgery for a cancerous growth in his mouth. The staff at the Home are trying to get hold of his veterinary records to find out the extent of the disease, and the prognosis, and they have promised to let us know as soon as they have more information. We are obviously hoping that Ralph's surgery has removed all evidence of disease, and that Ralph has years of happiness ahead of him
The best possible outcome for Ralph would be if his previous owner comes forward to claim him, but if that doesn't happen Ralph will be available for rehoming from 22nd September.
For more information on Ralph, or any of the dogs for adoption at NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME, contact the staff, or better still, pop in. No appointment needed during opening times.
TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm or 2pm - 4pm.
Rehoming fees are from £100 - £200 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, and microchip. It is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered/spayed aged six months. Subsidised vouchers are available at £35, this is in addition to the rehoming fee.
All applicants will be homechecked prior to approval.
