Hi Pedro! Say hello to the totally gorgeous bundle of hairy loveliness that is Pedro! We were able to spend some time in the garden today with Pedro and what a joy he is! He enjoyed pottering around the garden, taking in all the sights and smells and chasing after balls, stopping occasionally to pose for his photo shoot Then he decided that Ricki was his newest bestest friend and came over to him for some fussing. He loved having a nice neck scratch 'Oooo that's the spot Ricki' Pucker up Ricki, I lurves you! Yep I think this lap is big enough for me We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Pedro today, he's a stunning boy. He will be available for rehoming from 29th November. If you would like more information or would like to meet her, phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Had the pleasure of walking this gorgeous boy today......absolutely beautiful. He he was a bit excitable at first but soon settled down. A little nervous with other dogs at first but again he soon settles and greets them as dogs do! Pleased to see him looking happy and healthy. Pedro was happy to go back to the kennels and is very very well looked after, as are all his mates in Cardiff dogs home too.... He he just wants all the cuddles he can get. I wish I could take him home and give him all the love he needs. My shift work in the NHS and small home mean it just wouldn't be fair on him though. Hope he finds his forever home soon β€οΈ

When I saw that Pedro hadn't been out for a walk i was over the moon. I had seen his photos on the forum and had seen how handsome he was! I had walked Max, a malamute who was at the home a few months back and found that he was not very affectionate, but Pedro was far from that! He is the cuddliest, softest fur ball ever! He does jump up on you but it's so gentle he just wants to bear hug you! He pulls ever so slightly at first but then really eases into the walk. We had no trouble with other dogs, one of the staff at the dogs said that Pedro was a bit of a ladies man, that became obvious when we walked past the two husky girls, his ears pricked up and his tail started wagging as if to say hello ladies We sat down on a bench so Pedro could have a drink, he was straight up with his front paws on my lap, waiting for scratches, he started to cry when I stopped I would take him home with me myself if I could. I don't think this handsome boy will be waiting very long!

Oooh, Pedro is certainly a handsome boy! After our brief walk with Nico we decided to try another new dog, and just couldn't resist a handsome Northern breed! Pedro comes out of the kennels full speed and he's only too happy to meet and greet new walkers with some big bear hugs, but he does calm down once he's had a few minutes to stretch his legs and settle into his pace. Despite being a large dog and fairly strong (Northern breeds are designed to pull, after all!), Pedro doesn't strain at his lead or drag you this way and that. He's a constant weight at the end of the leash but not so that he's unmanageable or taking you where *he* wants to go. So long as he's getting his walk, Pedro doesn't seem to mind following your route! Pedro is still young and full of beans and does require some four on floor training to polish up his manners, but he doesn't as much jump up at you as he does reach up for a cuddle. While I'm certain Pedro is happiest when on the move or playing, if you are making him stop for something he will require a big cwtch and a fuss! He's a proper cuddle-monster when he wants to be, but will whine when he's made to stop for too long without anything to interest him. We stopped for water at the benches and Pedro gobbled it up, so be sure to bring enough. He wasn't so sure about sit or paw, but he took his treats very gently. Pedro is a very smart young man and I've no doubt he'll pick up a lot of new training tricks very quickly. Other dogs definitely interested him and he did want to go see a few we passed, but he was easy enough to move on and the little vocalisation we heard was completely friendly. I'd be amazed if Pedro is in the kennels for long. He's absolutely gorgeous, playful, and very loving!

Took the handsome Pedro out last week and he is such a character. He does pull on the lead a little but nothing that you can't handle. He is such a joyful character, like a big bear. A funny thing happened on our walk and it put a smile on my face for the rest of the day. When we were walking back to the dogs home there was an ambulance approaching in the distance. I heard the sirens first before seeing it. At the first sound of the ambulance sirens Pedro turned around, tilted his head to the side, and did a big Husky howl until the ambulance passed us. It was such a comical scene. He is full of character, a right wonder dog that will always put a big fat smile on your face. You go Pedro π€ππΎπ
