Missy was brought in by Dog Wardens just as as was leaving yesterday and I only managed to get a few quick snaps of her; however, I doubt that more will be needed as this girl will certainly not be homeless for long! She felt rather worried, quite naturally, when she first came in, so Carol took her into her cosy, quiet office, to settle. Missy is only seven months old. She is fully vaccinated and ready to go home as soon as she has been spayed. Sadly surrendered due to very difficult family circumstances, she is beautiful, responsive and petite. If I had space at home for another female collie I can honestly say that I would have put an offer in then and there. We are told that Missy loves to play with a ragger and I got her chasing a ball on a rope, within a few minutes of her arriving, so she has definitely got potential for anyone who loves training dogs. Equally, she might be suited to a very active, family home, as she seems gentle and has a lovely, soft expression. She has lived with children. If she is still there without a good home offer, by Wednesday, we will give her a better write-up and pictures, but, somehow, I doubt that will be the case.

Hi,
I would love to rehome Missy, she looks to be perfect for what I am looking for!
I can come and see her tomorrow - is there an application process for her or a way to reserve?
I phoned earlier and was told to complete an application when I'm there tomorrow but if there is a way of completing this sooner then I would love to get the ball rolling?
Many thanks
Cara

Cara Hi Cara We don't send out email applications, you will need to visit the Home to meet Missy to complete an application form. The staff will be able to chat to you about what sort of home she needs, what experience you have etc, and of course you will want to meet her first! Good luck! Do let us know how you get on!

Missy went home, today. She was a great favourite with everyone and had a number of really good home offers, so commiserations if you were one of the disappointed applicants. Jan and Keith arrived bearing gifts of toys, for the pound dogs, and biscuits, for the staff; after a very long journey. I am sure that Missy will be very happy in their home, with their existing collie. She will go everywhere with them, have lots of beach walks, and do agility training, if she likes it. Most important of all - she will be a much-loved pet.
