If you like collies - you are going to love Tessa! This fabulous young girl has been signed over to the home by her owners as she is 'too lively'. They had her for six months, and it's anyone's guess how many times she has changed hands in her life, but we have promised Tessa that we are going to find her a forever and ever amen home! With balls. There must be balls! Tessa is a past master at getting her people to understand her favourite game! She retrieves like a pro, and deposits the ball at your feet, or in your lap, just waiting for the next throw.... Get ready.... Collie pose.... As she has been signed over to the home, Tessa is available for rehoming immediately. If you would like more information, or would like to meet Tessa, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. I took the lovely Tessa out for a walk today and although she was a little frisky to start with she soon settled down. Good as gold on the lead and crossing roads, waiting and sitting on command and took treats gently. Tessa is a lovely dog

I took little Tessa out a few weeks back and I can't fault this girl. She is so upbeat and instantly puts a smile on your face. All she wants to do is play so make sure you take a tennis ball with you, if not she loves a good stick as well as she's very proud of her big girl sticks energy your out on your walk 😊. She walks great on the lead and is not bothered by other dogs at all. She listens tentivaly to you and hangs on your every word. You can tell all she wants to do is run in a field somewhere, she'd be in her element. I'm so surprised this superstar is still at the Hotel for Dogs, she is absolutely faultless. Don't worry beautiful girl you'll find your furever family in no time, I just know it 💜💜💜

I had a lovely morning walk with the gorgeous Tessa. She was very well behaved. I took a ball with me today and she had a great time (so did I) running after it. She's just so clever and places the ball between your feet ready for the next throw. She's a very special lady

Well, what a lovely girl Tessa is! My partner and I have taken her out twice now. The first time she was a little reserved as she hadn't met us before and we made a rookie mistake and brought no toys for her! She was still the most well-behaved and attentive dog. She likes to trot quickly along in true collie style, but is very good on the lead and incredibly responsive when you call her name. We quickly found out that what Tessa truly loves is a good play! She begged us to throw stones for her to chase, but we compromised for a stick! The next time we took her out, we brought a rope for her to tug on and she had so much fun! She just loves a game of tug of war, and is so gentle giving the rope back for us to throw for her. My partner was very smitten with her and adores her trait of putting toys right in between your feet so you can't miss them! We sat down for a bit with her, where she was keen to keep herself pressed to the legs of my partner. We found that she can do the most beautiful 'sit' and 'paw' commands (for treats, of course!) Tessa really is a wonderful dog, and it baffles us that's she still at the home! She would be the most loving addition to someone's life, and is a clever, affectionate and playful girl.

Tessa had a more than a few proposals of foreverness, but things don't always go to plan, and she was ditched at the altar a few times. But good things come to girls who wait Tessa has finally left the building, with her tennis balls, and the waggiest tail you ever did see! Have a wonderful life Tessa
