Awwwww, how sweet is Molly? Molly is just a youngster, having arrived at Newport City Dogs Home as a stray, but it appears she is the innocent victim of a relationship break-up. Molly is strikingly gorgeous! We thought Molly would enjoy a bit of young company, so brought out Alfie pup to see how they got along. "It's a nice afternoon, what shall we do Alfie"? "Let's play zoooooomies"!!!!!! And that's what they did! Molly has sooooooo much energy! Molly ran the legs off Alfie! He threw in the towel, but she had loads of puppy energy to burn! So we got Bas out, no such thing as too much fun eh Molly? We *think* Molly was holding back a little in deference to Bas's age and his tiny little legs compared to Molly's supermodel pins! Molly runs like a gazelle! Molly will be available for adoption from 9th May, and if you'd like to meet her please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME for more information. TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £100 - £200 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, and microchip. It is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered and Molly will be taking a little trip to the vets before she is rehomed.

I walked Molly this morning along the coastal path, she let me carry her over the mesh steps without fuss, was good on the lead for her age and more walks will help this young one out with that. She sniffed at everything and was keen to try a friendly hello to other dogs along the way. We had company with my partner walking Alfie and they played nicely on the lead and off before and after the walk at the dogs home.
I think she will be snapped up pretty soon, especially if you've a sofa to share, she hopped up on the sofa in the portacabin and enjoyed a good belly rub after her walk today. She got on well with Alfie throughout!

Hi, I've just Called the Newport centre to ask for more info on Molly and I was advised that she is being rehomed tomorrow. The post mentions that she is only available for rehoming on 9th May? The lady on the phone seemed a little confused, could someone please clarify on this as we were interested in coming back see her tomorrow morning with a view to applying to adopt.

Hiya, really sorry - our mistake! The dogs are available for rehoming on the 8th day after they arrive at the Home, we brought her out for her pics on 28th April, I believe she arrived the day before. My typo - Sorry about this - my bad Have you seen Taro in Cardiff Dogs Home? Young and lively beagle / lurcher mix? He's adorable! Very lively, not unlike Molly in terms of his size and energy levels! TARO

Hello Meg is a cross border collie/spaniel who we rescued when she was three months old. She's very active and has a very soft loving nature! We are looking for a companion to keep her company and to play with her as she does require constant stimulation. We live by fields and have a large garden so excercise is no problem . We need a dog who is good with children ( all above nine) and who also won't scare our Ragdoll cat away 😂I am home most of the day so they won't be left alone!

Thanks for that! Are you open to age/size/breed Murray? I'll have a chat with some of the Pilgrims tomorrow and see who we might suggest. If you're open then I'm sure we have the right dog for you! 😊 Hello Meg is a cross border collie/spaniel who we rescued when she was three months old. I think a younger dog would cope better as Meg has so much energy! I would prefer a medium sized dog if possible 😊 Not ruling out smaller but not a terrier please !
