Please welcome our two new pointies, Wag
And Larry
These two beauts have come to CDH via a breed rescue in West Wales. After short careers as racing greyhounds they have both decided that there is more to life than running around a track. Larry and Wag are very good friends, and they are currently sharing a kennel, their toys, treats, and walks with no issues, but although they are extremely relaxed around each other they don't need to be rehomed as a pair.
Wag is 5 years old, and we have no idea where she got those ears!
Wag loves toys! After years of chasing an electronic hare around a track, she seems to be thrilled that she can actually catch a toy - and she will bring it back a thousand times for you to throw it again!
Any toy will do!
She collects up her precious things into a pile. C'mon Aunty Sooz - throw them again!
Wag is a verrrrry pretty girl, and what she lacks in manners she makes up for with her beautiful face. Everything is new and exciting for Wag, and she can be a bit snatchy, so walkers - if you value your fingers no treats from hands for this girl!
Larry is just 3 years old, and loves affection! In the race for the toys Larry was happy to let Wag take the prize, and raced back to us for kisses every time
He's a smiley, happy boy
.... and rather 'exuberant' if he thinks he can steal a kiss from you. So be sure to have your feet planted firmly if Larry is zooming towards you! He's gonna jump up for a cuddle!
Having fun is thirsty work eh Larry?
As Wag and Larry are fully vaccinated and have been signed over to the Home they are available for adoption immediately.
As they are sharing a kennel in the stable block and not in the main kennels, ask for them by name if you'd like to meet them.
UPDATE 2ND JUNE - WAG HAS BEEN REHOMED, LARRY IS STILL WAITING TO MEET HIS FOREVER PEEPS!
If you would like more information, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm.
