Dear little Trixie is staying at Newport City Dogs Home. She is micro-chipped, but her owners have failed to contact the home, despite a letter having been sent to them. Trixie is a tiny little lady, of mature years. All she wants is affection and a comfy bed; thus she would be ideal for older adopters who simply want a loving companion. If Trixie had a garden to wander in, she would only require regular, short walks, to keep her happy. Trixie is good with sensible, polite dogs and all people, though she will give a gentle reprimand to rude dogs. The staff love her so much that she lives in the office, with Daisy, the staff dog, rather than being in a kennel. It is quite rare to find a lovely, small, older dog with no issues, in rescue. Please form an orderly queue for Trixie. She is available for re-homing from 2nd June. Remember "Friends" only promote these dogs and any enquiries need to be made directly to Newport Dogs' Home, where staff can give you more detailed information. Please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME. TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm or 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays. 11am - 1pm or 2pm - 3.30pm Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Re-homing fees are from £100 - £200 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, and microchip. It is a condition of the re-homing contract that all dogs are neutered/spayed aged six months. Subsidised vouchers are available at £35, this is in addition to the re-homing fee. All applicants will be home-checked prior to approval.
