Buddy only arrived at the home this morning, but you’d never know it. He is a happy, confident young lad who just took everything in his stride.
Only a young lad of ten or eleven months, he has sadly been handed in by his owner, who was not in the best of health, and unable to provide for the needs of a lively, young terrier.
Buddy has lived in a family and mixed with children aged five years upwards. His owner told us that he is also fine with dogs and has been around a cat. He has been left, without incident, for periods of up to three hours and has never chewed in the house.
At one time, he used to walk with a friend and her Staffy; and he walks well on the lead, but this arrangement has come to an end, and his owner’s disability has meant that he has had very little exercise recently.
I walked him in the nearby park, just after he came in, and can confirm that he behaved very well. He did get very excited when he saw another dog, but he just wanted to play.
“Where’s my squeaky ball?”
As a canine teenager, it is understandable that he is bursting with fun and energy, and he will need an active family to keep up with him.
We managed to give him some free play with Bas, and they both had a wonderful time. Perfect way to burn off some of that energy!
“Is it time for lessons now?”
“Thanks for saving me Aunty Sooz”
