Hi big guy! Here's a boy to put a smile on your face. Big, fun and loves a cuddle. What more would you need? He thoroughly enjoyed himself playing ball in the garden and coming over to us for cuddles every now and then. Geoffrey is available for rehoming from 8th August. If you'd like to meet him call Cardiff dogs home on 02920711243 or pop in 10am to 4pm, 7 days a week

I had a lovely walk with Geoffrey with two f's yesterday. He's a bit of a jumper to start with but just generally he's an excited boy. I call him the sidewinder because he walks at a funny angle. Seemed very unphased by everything and is just your average sweet loving dog. He's big but not overly big if that makes any sense,a proper steady Eddie. Geoffrey the pleasure was all mine and I'd gladly take you out again.

Geoffrey! What can I say? What a delight from the moment he came bounding out ready for cuddles first before he started his sideways walking!!! What a character he is! So friendly with EVERYONE you may meet on the way! Loved his treats but decided not to do a sit! Loved him so much! He put a smile on my face for the rest of the afternoon. A big but gentle boy x

Ok, so I may have fallen a little bit in love with Geoffrey today - he's awesome. π From the moment he came bounding over to me in the car park to when I had to hand him back over - you can't help but have a big fat smile on your face when you're with Geoffrey! Is he big? Energetic? Does he love to go out for a walk? Does he love a cuddle and a fuss? Does he cover you with kisses? Yes to all of the above, but what a lovely friendly gentle giant he is with it. Don't be fooled by the grey colouring around the muzzle - I'd say he's only around 2yrs old or there abouts so is really still a pup. As previously mentioned- Geoffrey likes to walk at a bit of an angle, but I think this is just to make sure that he can check you're still there with him, and so he can come at you for cuddles at a seconds notice! He seems pretty 'bomb-proof', unfazed by other dogs, traffic, pedestrians, joggers, cyclists etc, and is good when crossing roads too - usually using it as an opportunity to get more cuddles! He does jump up quite a bit at the moment, so make sure you have your feet firmly planted when you meet him - but it's just that he wants a fuss and to be as near as possible to you. We stopped at a bench for a rest and a drink, but Geoffrey didn't seem keen on sitting on the floor - he thought it was a much better idea to sit either on the bench or on my lap! So as I said, he's an awesome dog who I can't see being at the home for long - so if you've got a large sofa to share and you're thinking you like the look of Geoffrey - get yourself down to meet him asap!

Another of my late solo walks from last Sunday, this time with the very adorable and handsome mister Geoffrey. If you're feeling like you don't get enough cuddles in your life, Geoff is your man! He's all cwtches all the time! While Geoffrey does decide to have a cuddle at some less convenient times, with a little training and some home comforts I've no doubt he'll soon realise that a cwtch on the sofa is far better than a hug in the rain at the traffic lights - though I think the Sunday drivers had a good laugh at least. Despite his size Geoffrey is a great walker and although he does pull a little at the start, he's responsive to commands and the lead and calmed down considerably after he'd exerted some of that pent up kennel-energy. He showed a little bit of interest in other dogs we passed but walked on when I asked without a fuss. At the benches Geoffrey was instantly by my side for some cuddles, which made photos a little tricky one-handed but I did manage to get a few He was only too happy to sit in exchange for a treat and was very gentle while taking it from my fingers. As we made our way back Geoff got a little playful again, sliding on his side in the grass as we walked. You'll never be short of a good laugh with this boy around. He's quite puppyish in behaviour sometimes and did have a few times where he had a little mouth at my hand, but it was always incredibly soft and he stopped as soon as I told him to. Geoff just needs a fun-loving forever home where he can have a good old play and run about, and a lot of cuddles. Fingers crossed he won't be waiting too long!

We walked Geoffrey yesterday for the first time. He came bounding out of the kennel, so excited to be out. He is a little bit boisterous to begin with and will jump up at you but I found that if I turned my back on him every time he tried to jump up he soon got fed up. He does walk sideways sometimes, it's really funny to watch. But then as he settled into his walk he began to walk normally. It was difficult to get a good picture of him as he is so energetic but here is one I got of him where he was on a mission... A word of warning to other walkers - when Geoffrey stops for a No2 just make sure you are not standing behind him. When he finishes doing his business he kicks his back feet and the poo goes everywhere!! Luckily we didn't get pebbledashed (luck the first time and judgement the second time!) And when scooping the poop it's like a treasure hunt. Geoffrey just loves cuddles and treats (gobbles them down in seconds). On the way back to CDH he really started to calm down on the lead and walked nicely. He was also no trouble passing other dogs - we met an offlead spaniel in Grangemoor Park but Geoffrey was very well behaved luckily. I don't think he will be waiting long for his new home. Good luck Geoffrey!

I love this boy sooooo much! He is an absolute delight to walk! He likes to jump up a bit to start but that's because he wants a cuddle so I'm happy to oblige! Settles into a lovely pace and checks back with you constantly, nudging at your hand. When your chatting to him he always responds to you, we had a lovely chat as we walked. When I bent to pick up his poop he pushed his head through my arms and washed my face for me!!! Made the job a happy time!!!! He showed his sensitive side when a loose dog was shouted at by his owner Geoffrey cowed down and thought he'd done something wrong. I assured him he'd done nothing wrong and that no one was ever going to shout at him again, poor baby. Love, love, love this dog, I'd take him home in an instant if I could ππππ

Geoffrey is such a lovable fella. I sat with him for a while whilst the fireworks were on but he preferred to curl up in his bed, just coming out now and again to give me a nudge. Poor boy wasn't too comfortable with all the noise and it was a stressful night for all the dogs. He is a big softie and really needs his forever sofa so that a lovely family can give him all the affection he clearly loves. He is a handsome dog and really wants to engage with you when you walk him. I really hope his ideal family comes along soon x

Soooo happy that Geoff has found his new family. A little birdie told me on the weekend that he had his bags packed - so I managed to pop down on Monday lunchtime for a sneaky last walk and cuddles with him. Geoffrey stole a piece of my heart - Iβm going to miss him very much, and Iβm very jealous of his new forever peeps! Be happy handsome boy. xXx
