Please welcome Storm This gorgeous lady is the sweetest most gentle dog. She's not only lovely to look at but she's got brains too! Storm is just a young girl at around 18 months but her previous owner clearly did some training with her. She knows her stuff. ..sit, paw, down and roll over! She's very gentle when taking treats and patiently waited for us to take her photo before getting one. Sometimes a girl just needs a two paw handshake though when asking for something yummy! Storm is a little bit underweight at the moment but the staff are taking good care of her and looking after her well to ensure her weight will be perfect soon. She also loved a tummy rub đ Storm is available for rehoming from 14th September. If you would like more information on her please phone the dogs home: 02920711243 or visit Cardiff dogs home, westpoint industrial estate, penarth rd, Cardiff .open 7 days a week 10.30-4pm.

I've walked Storm a few times and I am so in love with her. She's a beautiful girl with a lovely temperament. Storm does tend to pull on the lead but she's still a pup and she has so much energy that she's just dying to burn! As soon as you stop to have a sit down, Storm jumps up on your lap, smothers you with kisses, rests her head on your shoulder and happily watches the world go by. She's fascinated by birds, she could sit at grangemoor and watch the swans for hours. Storm is a lovely, beautiful girl who deserves a loving home where she can get the exercise and the cuddles that she deserves!

Storm was our first walk of the day today. She did pull on the lead for the first half an hour, she was a girl on a mission, not stopping to sniff anything - she didn't even stop for a wee! However, on the way back she was much calmer, I just think she needed to burn off all that excess energy. She was very good passing other dogs, although she did pull to get near them I think she just wanted to say hello. She was a very thirsty girl, so walkers make sure you have plenty of water with you... She also loved her treats and did a great sit and gave a paw too. Unfortunately she didn't keep still long enough for me to take many photos, but here are a couple from our walk.

Oh dear, another gorgeous ABD lady for me to fall in love with! And Storm is absolutely stunning! She was my last walk of my midday visit on Saturday and did not disappoint. She can be a little strong and eager when first out of the kennels, clearly just keen to get out and make the most of her time outside, but she wasn't impossible to control and calmed down a lot after a good 20 minutes or so of power walking. However even while she did steam on a little ahead, every single time I stopped, she stopped too. I didn't need to pull back to get her to slow down or stop her from jogging off a minute later, she just followed my lead without any complaint and settled in at my side until I was ready to move on again. I took advantage of this and stole a quick cwtch or three while we were resting - okay, while I was getting my breath back - and this beautiful lady is just wonderful at cuddling! Storm took her treats very gently and sat and gave paw without any fuss. She didn't seem too bothered by other dogs we passed and only showed a little interest, but you'd still obviously have to check with the CDH staff to see if she's been dog-checked. After some water and a few more cuddles, we set back off towards the Home and Storm walked much slower for the majority of our return trip, only speeding up again when we reached the lane. This lady is incredibly sweet and gentle and, with some extra training and regular exercise, will no doubt be a wonderful walking companion. Storm is one smart cookie and will definitely take great joy in learning some new tricks and skills from her forever family. I just hope she's not waiting too long, because this gorgeous girl needs to be stretched out on a comfy sofa pronto!

A potential rehomer said to me a few weeks ago âIâve found it really hard to connect with Stormâ and I just shrugged it off, and thought she obviously hadnât taken the time to get to know Storm properly! Itâs true that Storm absolutely loves walking and exploring, she does pull but sheâs manageable. It takes her about half an hour to settle down, but then after that, the lead is slack. The real Storm comes out when you sit down for refreshments, she jumps up onto your lap and smothers you in kisses. She absolutely loves a fuss and could sit there for hours, just leaning on you. Storm doesnât shower everyone she meets in kisses, and to be honest, I think itâs better that way. Her new family will get to know and love the real Storm. People shouldnât just go by what sheâs like on her first walk of the day after sheâs been cooped up in her kennel for almost 24 hours! Please get to know the real Storm, I promise you wonât be disappointed. Sheâs such a friendly, loving girl who really deserves a loving family!

I had the absolute pleasure of Storms company yesterday, in very blustery conditions! She came out of the gates like a train, but despite being super eager to walk she was easy to control. She soon settled down into a lovely brisk walk. Storm is no bother passing other dogs, she takes an interest and when they have passed she would turn around to see them, followed by a little bound, I think she's desperate to play and socialise. We stopped at the benches by the river and I gave Storm some cuddles, I couldn't believe how soft her fur is, and her face is just adorable. When we got back Storm saw a couple of familiar faces and couldn't wait to greet them. She really is a lovely girl who deserves to have a kind, loving and active family to call her own.

Had a lovely walk with Storm in the afternoon sunshine yesterday and she was as good as gold as usual.
Storm is always keen to get going (who can blame her?) but keeps to a steady pace and soon starts to relax. She will wait when you ask and is very good crossing roads. She is interested in people and everything going on around her but not phased by the traffic or passing bikes.
Storm is a beautiful, affectionate girl who would make a wonderful companion.

Storm heard it was 'Date Day' this week, and she has had her pick of the beaus! On Tuesday she stepped out with Tito, who was sooooooo excited to be out with a pretty girl! Tito is just a teenager at heart, and he was keen to get to second base on a first date. Storm was perfectly polite, but declined to give Tito her kennel number. She would love to see him again, but just as good friends. But Storms blind date today was with the verrrrrry handsome, and perfectly mannered Haze, and he won her heart! They went for a quiet drink, then a lovely stroll in the countryside. Haze did steal a cheeky kiss on the cheek, but Storm didn't seem to mind one little bit! Ahhhhh, young love

It was my second day walking the dogs as a volunteer this morning and I met the ever cuddly Storm! She is absolutely amazing at waiting when she senses you need to stop and loves a full on cuddle as a reward. I think Storm would love it if she could get to a loving home and get some new exciting walks under her belt as she loved exploring with me. I think Storm will give a lot of love to the right person who wants to give her a warm and safe home. I've got pics to follow so as soon as I figure out how to add them on here I will!
