Meet Dougie Dougie has come to cdh with 3 of his friends from Woofles and like his 3 companions he was a delight to have out to play. Dougie soon got to work exploring the every inch of the garden. Once he was satisfied he knew about every dog that had visited the garden before him it was time to have some fun! Dougie is available for rehoming now. If you would like more information on him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. We walked Dougie last week and he was a delight to take out. He was an absolute dream on the lead, he walked at our pace (which is not very fast!), stopped when we stopped and no pulling whatsoever. He also displayed excellent behaviour when passing other dogs. He is a real gentleman. He is just such a gentle dog and has a lovely calm temperament. We stopped for treats which he took very politely and he enjoyed a nice drink. He just seemed happy to be out and about, sniffing the air constantly. Dougie has a habit of nuzzling into your leg as you are walking along - melted my heart! I hope that Dougie and his other greyhound buddies will all find their forever homes soon. Good luck Dougie!!

Dougie had an outing to Mermaid Quay on Sunday to meet his public and boy did he enjoy himself! Dougie traveled really well in the car - he literally laid down as soon as we got in the car and we didn't hear a peep from him all journey. Dougie enjoyed wandering around with his buddy Maisie, they were so cute together and got on really well. Dougie showed no interest in passing dogs, he greeted dogs very well under supervision. I can see you Handsome boy!!

We took Dougie out for a walk again today with his girlfriend Zara. The pair of them walked so nicely together, we had a really pleasant relaxing walk in the sunshine. Dougie is a lot bigger than Zara but he is so gentle on the lead and no trouble at all when passing other dogs. As we walked through the trading estate we passed a workman loading stuff into the boot of his car and Dougie went over to say hello and sniffed the man's leg from behind. I think the guy thought it was his lucky day until he turned around and saw Dougie.... Dougie is a gentle giant who needs to be snuggled up on someone's sofa soon.

Lovely walk in the rain today with the delightful Dougie. He's no bother on the lead, trots along on his long legs at your own pace. Takes his treats so gently, he'd be the perfect companion. Hope your not waiting much longer, lovely boy xx
