Please welcome the adorable Fred This fabulous young pupster arrived recently as a stray. Obviously we don't know who his mamma or pappa were, but we're kinda thinking maybe there's a little bit of GSD in his genes.... what d'you think? Fred was so much fun when we took him into the garden! He's a complete goofball, happy to entertain himself throwing his toys around... Fred is an extremely good natured youngster, and although he may not have had a whole lot of training in his young life, he doesn't have a bad bone in him, and he seems as bright as a button! He pays lots of attention to what's going on around him, and we think it's going to be an absolute joy for his new family to train him and help him grow up into the fabulous dog he is destined to be! Fred has had a lot of interest already, so if you'd like to meet him it's probably worth contacting the staff first to make sure they are still taking applications on him. The families who have already expressed an interest in Fred were casual visitors who just happened to meet him before we got his pics for his rehoming profile, so it's always worth popping down to the home to see if there are any new incomers. Young dogs like Fred never hang around for long! If you would like more information about Fred or any of the dogs for rehoming please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Poor Fred has been returned to CDH He hasn't done anything you wouldn't expect a young boisterous dog to do, so understandably he's a little confused to find himself back at the Home. Hopefully it won't be for long though Fredster Apparently Fred's rehomers didn't get his 2nd vaccination done, so he's had to start from scratch with his vaccs but this handsome dude is already back on the walkers list so our volunteers are in for a treat If you'd like to meet him get down to CDH soonest!

Fred came to join myself, hubby and our two dogs - 4 year old Springer Spaniel and 5 year old Labrador today. He's settling well and is so well behaved. He's just being a puppy finding boundaries. He doesn't like being in the other room with the dog gate on, where he can see us but not get to us, and the same with their cage. But he'll get there just fine Thanks to everyone involved for helping us find him and bring him into our family

Hello Thought you might like a little update on Fred. He's settling in well, loves snoozing on the sofa, running in the woods and playing tug and makes us laugh lots. He's super smart and is improving with his training every day (with the odd stroppy teenager moment!). He went from barking his head off at his first training class to lying nicely settled 80% of the time in just a week, pretty sure he's gonna be top of the class very soon. Thanks CDH for letting us adopt him, we think he's the bestest dog in the whole world Caroline & Andy
