Please welcome Molly and her precious puppies
Molly arrived at Cardiff Dogs Home heavily pregnant, and although we don't normally foster dogs, one of our supporters kindly agreed to whelp Molly in the comfort and tranquility of her own home. The pups are now 6 weeks old and will be ready to leave their mamma in about two weeks time. We are looking for five star homes for Molly and her babies.
We have no idea who the daddy is, or how big the puppies will grow, so if size matters please consider adopting Molly, or one of our other adult, fully grown homeless dogs.
Molly is extremely gentle and loving. She has been spending time in foster with very young children and is incredibly sweet. She'd suit a family of all ages, and is very good with other dogs. However, she isn't very good with cats so maybe not a home with a resident kitty. She's learning "sit" but has no understanding of basic commands so would need somebody patient to teach her. She is extremely food orientated but not food possessive which makes her easy to train. She does need to work on toilet training as it seems Molly has never known the comforts of a proper home before.
This is Cami. She's a bit of a diva and the most adventurous of the three. She can be quite vocal when expressing distaste for something (she gave a big 'yucky' face when she had her wormer) but is very playful and sweet
Jinks is a quiet and gentle puppy. She can be very wary of new experiences so will probably need a calm and gentle owner to build her confidence. She is being socialised to household noises but still doesn't overly like the hoover
This is Smudge. He's the most laid back of the puppies and is pretty chilled although he does love a good play and perhaps a little nibble. Molly has taught her babies well - they are not in the least bitey and all love cuddles. He seems like he'd adapt to almost any home environment quite quickly
Vet references will be required from potential adopters, and it is a condition of rehoming that the pups are booked in for puppy socialisation classes, and that they are brought back to Cardiff Dogs Home at six months of age for neutering, the cost of which is included in the adoption fee. The puppies will not be rehomed to full-time workers.
For more information on the rehoming process please click the link! Most of your questions will be answered if you read through the document. You will need to visit Cardiff Dogs Home in person, armed with your vet reference, landlord's permission to keep a dog (if you are in rented accommodation), and evidence that you have researched and can attend socialisation classes before the staff will accept an application to adopt one of the puppies.
