Please say 'bonjour' to Martha Martha is a young Frenchie girl who was found straying. She had a prolapsed uterus, which had been left untreated. The RSPCA took Martha into the care to try to trace her owners, who would likely have been prosecuted if they had been traced. The Animal Welfare Act states that no animal should suffer unnecessary pain and suffering, and without a doubt poor Martha was most definitely suffering But her owners couldn't be traced, and Martha is now in the care of the staff at Cardiff Dogs Home, and is looking for a forever family Preference will be given to applicants who have, or who have previously owned a Frenchie, or any brachycephalic dog, as due to poor and indiscriminate breeding these little dogs can be very high maintenance health-wise. You may need deep pockets to keep a Frenchie in tip-top condition. Insurance can be expensive but is a must for dogs like Martha who may be prone to certain health issues. Vet references will also be required - as the staff will need to know that applicants have previously owned a dog and have ensured the dog received appropriate and timely veterinary care. If you'd like to meet Martha please make sure you have a full print out of your dogs veterinary history before you visit the Home. please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm.

The boys hope that mam'selle Martha recovers quickly and finds a most comfortable sofa tout suite.
And may the fleas from a thousand camels infest her torturers underwear!
She surely is a little darling.
