Please whisper a gentle welcome to Olly Pup This little darling has been abandoned at the tender age of just 12 weeks. As no-one has come forward to claim Olly, it's pretty much a given that he was a Christmas Puppy, and now the novelty has worn off his owners have dumped him It seems likely that whoever did own him got bored with him pretty quickly. Olly is very timid, doesn't know any basic commands, and is a little wary of strangers. At his age he should be as norty as a box of frogs, inquisitive and friendly, and eager to explore all things new But his tail remained tucked between his legs for most of the time Olly will quickly grow into that bandana - and some! Obviously as we don't know his parentage we have no way of guestimating how big he will grow, but if size matters please consider adopting a fully-grown dog, not a puppy. He does respond to affection, although he wasn't quite sure why someone would bother being kind to him... And Lesley was rewarded with a little pink-tongued kiss for her troubles! Olly has had quite a few visitors this week, so if you'd like to meet him maybe telephone the staff first to make sure they are still taking applications on him. Phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. We took Olly out today He has a lot of love and kisses to give and jumps in your hands as soon as you get down to his level. Feel like he's been carried around a lot as a puppy and is not quite used to the "walking on a leash" thing. That's okay, has more than enough time to learn at just 12 weeks old! Shame whoever cuddled him so much as a puppy has left him now. The only thing that concerned me about Olly is that he was scared of absolutely everything - passersby, cars, dogs, birds, any noise really. He got very shaky and tucked his tail in halfway the lane, we managed to get him to the industrial estate and tried to walk a bit further but as he was shaking so much and whining a little bit we thought walking back was the best thing to do. Getting him to walk back wasn't an easy task either - he would walk up to me if I squatted down and called him, but only to snuggle up, didn't really excite him much to walk by himself. Ultimately we carried him back as he seemed the most comforted that way. I hope it was maybe the weather that affected him so much today - it was very windy, rainy and scary for a little pup! Olly would really benefit from a warm, loving home ASAP! Let's not let this baby spend any more time of his puppyhood in kennels! Please share his thread around on social media, there are always people looking to get a puppy and one of those people might just be the perfect responsible and loving owner Olly should have gotten in the first place! Noble lurcher leg cross! Olly - the most lovable pup!

We were lucky enough to have been chosen to be Olly's forever home last month and it was the best decision ever!
He loves being in our garden having a good old dig and burying his toys, and has a great run at my mums field with his adopted cousin Buddy, a Golden Retriever. They have hours of fun together and are both worn out for the rest of the day after their fun!
We also found a great enclosed beach to take him to and my kids absolutely adore him.
He isn't scared of any noise any more and loves a good cuddle on the sofa too.
Thank you for choosing us x
