Please welcome Jasper How d'you do fella? This lovely youngster was brought into Cardiff Dogs Home last weekend by someone who claimed to have found him straying. However someone has contacted the Home claiming to be his owner, and has told the staff that a friend of the person who was supposed to be looking after Jasper brought him to the Home and handed him over as a stray. It's really not clear at the moment whether Jasper's owner is actually going to come to reclaim him, but if they don't Jasper will be available for rehoming from 20th May, and staff will take applications on him in the meantime. Whatever happens, we wouldn't want Jasper spending any more time than is absolutely necessary. He's been very well mannered and docile, but Jasper isn't particularly thrilled with his recent change of circumstances. His manners are impeccable though. As you would expect, Jasper has the softest mouth, and he takes treats very gently... He did seem to perk up a little when we took him down to the riverbank though. Spaniels love an actively, outdoorsy lifestyle, and being confined to a kennel isn't ideal for such an active dog. For more information or if you'd like to meet Jasper please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Saw this handsome chap out for a walk this morning. Does anyone know how dog friendly he might be yet?
