Hi all,
I was wondering if Walkers are allowed to make use of the garden for some off lead play time with the dogs? I'm asthmatic and when I'm bad there's times where just walking the lane and back would be too much for me, but some play time in the garden would probably be OK. Is this something that would be an option, or is the garden for staff only?
Thanks, Helen

Hi Helen Once the staff get to know our walkers if the garden is free they can use it to give a dog a bit of extra playtime. But the dogs have to be walked first, the garden isn't a substitute for an on-lead walk, it's what happens after, and any walkers who want to use the garden have to have a separate mini induction. The priority is to make sure that all the dogs have had a walk first, so volunteers couldn't take any dog into the garden until all the dogs have had their first walk, the staff like to keep it fair

Thanks BL, that makes perfect sense! Hopefully I'll be better soon to help out with the walkies once more!
