Please welcome Bruno This handsome fella has been signed over to the Home by his owners due to a change of circumstances. He's around 5 years young, and he's taking a little while to settle into the routine of kennel life. Bruno is a little bit shy, and for the most part we let him do his own thing in the garden when we brought him out for his pics He has a natural curiousity and was keen to find out what was inside the tunnel And he eventually decided to suss out the human company... And he even allowed Miss Jenny to get him a drink at the local watering hole Bruno has a winning smile, he seems to be a very gentle lad and he hasn't put a paw wrong since he arrived. For more information, or if you'd like to meet him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Hi everyone I'm Bruno a newbie at the Hotel 💖💖 I went out with Alex first thing yesterday and I think she was surprised with how much energy I have for a small pup hehehe.. Alex said that I'm like a limewire but don't be put off it's just because I was very exited to be out and about 😉😉😉 When I see fellow residents I do get a little exited but it's nothing that you shouldn't be able to handle hehe, I just want to go and say hello of course 😛😛 I take a little while to warm up to you but once I have your trust I'm yours, but please don't impose yourself on me. As Alex says not all humans get on with everyone and you can't force people to like each other hehehe 😘😘😘😘 Same with us pups 💖💖💖 I had a little dip in the river and I wanted to swim sooo much but Alex didn't realise I was partial to a swim so she didn't have a long line, never mind may be next time Al 🙈🙈🙈🙈 Lots of love, love Bruno babe 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

I walked Bruno a couple of days ago. He was smaller than I expected from his picture but full of life. He did pull a bit on the lead, obviously happy to be out of his kennel, and he got a bit vocal when he passed other dogs, but he's a lovely, affectionate boy who enjoyed a good fuss and gave plenty of cwtches in return. He'll make a fantastic pet. Loved him!

Bruno is a happy boy. He is very excited to go out, and sniffs a lot. He is smaller than he looks in the pictures.

Bruno came home for a few hours today. From the moment I picked him up at CDH there was no sign of his earlier shyness, he jumped straight into the car and seemed to enjoy the ride home.
The first hour was spent running around at full speed, he was so pleased to be off lead and expend some of the enormous energy this boy has pent up. By the time we went out for our second walk I thought he had settled down, but you should have seen him jump up at the front door with excitement - at least a metre off the ground with his front paws nearly on the top of the door frame! Having said that he walked well on the lead and when we returned he settled down for some serious cuddles on my lap for the best part of the next hour. Tyson (one my regular visitors) came past with his walker and the two dogs exchanged barks, but nothing very aggressive on either side, more saying "Hi there".
The initial spurt is now over and he is lying on the carpet at my side whilst I type, with the occasional standing up to put his head in my lap. He is a lovely dog, with a gentle mouth for treats and toys.
