Please whisper a very gentle welcome to Vincent, who arrived unceremoniously at Newport City Dogs Home last week. He's an American Bully, fairly common in the US but a relatively new breed to the UK. Vincent was in very poor condition when he arrived. He had little control over his limb movements and the initial assessment by the vets indicated possible neurological damage, or trauma, or a combination of both. He was disorientated and was unable to walk unaided for more than a few steps without falling over. His ears have been cropped illegally which is an offence under Section 5 of the animal welfare act (mutilation). Vincent has gone to stay with his new foster mum and dad for a while, and within hours of arriving he has confounded us all with his new joie de vivre! Vincent has found his mojo! The staff will be taking applications for Vincent shortly. In the first instance potential rehomers will be required to provide a vet reference for a dog they current own or have previously owned. We will send application forms to those applicants who have provided a satisfactory vet reference and shortlisted applicants will be invited to meet Vincent once he has come back to Newport City Dogs Home from his temporary foster Home. For more info about the rehoming process and how to provide a veterinary reference please click the link ADOPTION PROCESSVincent will be neutered before he is rehomed.

He is so gorgeous! To keep such a lovely temperament after all he has been through is only testament to his good character. I hope he finds somewhere lovely and grows old knowing what a family feels like x

This boy has been an absolute pleasure we really couldn't have asked for him to have been any better. He is so full of life and loves to play but he'll just as happily sit next to or on top of you for a cuddle. He has slept through the night every night and not a single toilet accident. He adored our girls (as they did him) and was so affectionate but always so gentle with them. Vincent will have no trouble finding a new forever home as you cannot help but fall in love with him, especially his endearing march. It will just have to be the right home for him. Vincent my boy I am honoured to have spent this time with you π and you have forever stolen a piece of my heart π’ β€πππΆπβ€

Hello Helen.
Thanks for your message. Unfortunately Vincent isn't a big fan of cats.
