We have had kongs in operation for a week and just wanted to say a BIG thanks. The bags provided to store the kongs are are really useful too. Some dogs don't want the kong to be taken out of the kennel at all they enjoy them so much!!
Your support for the Dogs Home is really important to us and I hope you continue to go from strength to strength. Maria Bailie Manager Cardiff Dogs Home

Thanks Maria - it's lovely to get some feedback from the Home ;D Some of our volunteers have worked their socks off to bring this to fruition But special mention to Ang and our Clever Crafty Corner, and everyone who donated a Kong (or facilitated the procurement thereof)

Thanks Maria - ;D
The lovely lady at the Kong company loved the video and was very impressed by the 50 bags, she was really interested and asked a lot of questions about how the scheme was going to run, seemed very impressed all round

Yey! Kong boat not left the harbour yet Steph We've put in 28 Kongs in the main kennel block, and 5 are ready to go in the vet annex (with the six small crates). So we've still got a bit to go before we are 'fully laden' ;D Even then, if the dogs can't bear go to their new homes without them, we are thinking of offering them to the rehomers for a donation, and some will inevitably get damaged, so we will be continuing with a 'soft' appeal throughout the year. A few of our lovely volunteers have promised to bring two more in this weekend, but we've still got a few to go. I know they are very expensive but Extreme and XXL Kongs are especially welcome - if you would prefer to leave cash (or cheque) please make sure it is clearly marked 'Kong Appeal' and we can purchase them (we do get a discount rate) Stuffings will always be welcome these can be dropped off at the Home at any time ;D I'm going to the Home at 11 ish tomoz - maybe see you there? S x

Have had the final splurge on the bags for the Kongs tonight and numbers 18 to 29 are done and dusted so I think we've got a complete set now. I will bring them down tomorrow morning. Many thanks to Emma (Elf) for the numbers which she had prepared earlier. They saved me a load of time and fiddling around. Rach

Hi, you dont need an appointment to see the dogs but if you are visiting to meet one particular dog its worth phoning the staff to make sure the dog is still available for rehoming. Things change on a daily basis and the staff will have the most up to date info. Give them a bell on 02920 711243
