I had the pleasure of walking Max on Monday. I day pleasure because he walked beautifully on the lead for me. He was keen to get out but the let's face it the rain had finally stopped and the sun was shining. We were both keen 😊
Max's inquisitive nose led us off in to the park and this was where our first adventure began. As it had been raining heavily all morning there were a number of small puddles in the park. Max LOVES puddles! He totally engaged with his inner puppy and was splashing and barking and swotting the water with his paw. He did start to get a bit over excited so I managed to distract him and we trotted off safely down the river path.
Max is definitely a dog that notices things. Be it a bee in the long grass, or a stray wrapper or a leaf blowing along. He is keen to investigate and check out the smells. He was particularly interested in the scents that the rabbits had left alon the path! No Max - I don't think the bunnies would want to play with you!!
Further along our walk we came across the biggest puddle that day. And here came the next adventure! Max was in his element. I swear he thinks he's part dolphin!! He definitely had fun and I certainly got very wet & muddy but heck... isn't that what life is all about sometimes?
Despite his high spirits and dolphin-esque antics Max was impeccably behaved walking back to the kennels. A nice slack lead and no pulling. Well done Max!
I don't doubt that Max has a lot of love to give. In the right home with time and training I'm sure he will thrive. I hope you don't have to wait too long for that home Max. You deserve it!
