Nahla came in in a bad way physically, she has lump and bumps, poorly eyes, dreadful dew claws and may have a hip problem. After consulting with the vet, the Home have arranged treatment and she is being speyed, her lumps removed and her eyes and dew claws sorted. We are so grateful to the Home for giving her every chance, poor girlie, we know what a very tight budget they have for vet treatment. UPDATE: Nahla is having her agreed surgery on Thursday - we'll be thinking of her and sending loads of heal up quick thoughts If you'd like more info, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7days a week, 10.30 - 4pm Showing Nahla's dewclaws and why they need treatment

She has got a few problems (which will hopefully be sorted soon!) but I think she just has a sad little face in these pics as she is a lovely girl who has come out of her shell and enjoyed having her pics taken today with the help of some pate!

Lots of quickly-healing-not-too-sore thoughts for Nahla tomorrow. She is a lovely, lovely girl, and really deserves a bit of kindess and care. It's so humbling that she is so trusting of people, when she's been neglected and deprived of even basic vet care Good luck sweet girl, caring arms and hearts looking after you now

Friends Committee have made the decision to fund £100 (or thereabouts) so that Nahla's tumours can be biopsied and an xray taken to determine what is going on with her hips. We really appreciate that the Home Management have gone as far as they possibly can on Nahla's behalf to get as much veterinary work covered as possible given the constraints that they have to work to. We and the Home feel that this extra diagnosis will give Nahla the best possible chance to aid her recovery and the Home are very grateful to Friends for their help in this. So all the good thoughts you can muster for this girlie, we'll all be thinking of you Nahla

The vets had a rush on yesterday and couldn't fit Nahla in in the end, so she's going in again next Thursday, poor girlie. So I'll be sending her 'recover quick' thoughts next Thursday as well
