Lucy has so much love to give, took her for a walk on Wednesday and she is so loving and inquisitive. She just needs to be taken away from Kennels and allowed to relax in her forever home.

Took Lucy out again today, she's great on the lead, don't mistake pulling for a large stride.

We adopted Alera in September and she now rules the roost. Do the Friends who remember her think Lucy might want a big sis?

Hiya Sorepaws, Lucy is a sensitive girl and can get anxious around some dogs, but I know those of us who walk her regularly have noticed she can be fine around calm dogs who give her plenty of space. Alera was pretty calm when she was at the Home, so unless she has turned into a bottle of pop it could work Maybe pop down to meet Lucy without Alera initially and see how you go.

Thanks for that. Alera is still a lovely calm girl unless you are a squirrel! I was planning to pop in on Friday to see whether we might suit lovely Lucy.

That should be fine, maybe give the staff a call Friday morning to let them know what time you are calling in, just so they can make sure Lucy isnt out on a walk. The number is 02920 711243. Hope Alera is keeping well x

Thanks for the suggestion. Alera is very well and has really come out of her shell.

After six long months waiting, we are thrilled to share Lucy's fabulous news. She has at last found her forever home. The timing couldn't possibly have been better for Lucy. She spent most of her last day at CDH with her very very favourite 'Aunty', who has been such a passionate advocate for our bestest girlie. The two Lucy's shared some special time together in the garden, and took a few selfies to mark Lucy's special day! Lucy has been rehomed outside of Wales, and she has taken a little bit of our hearts with her, but her papa has promised to keep in touch, so watch this space for update pics! Lucy owes so much to Friends vols Lucy B and Becky, and to Caroline Cowan, all of whom have done so much for during her time with us. I'm going to miss her too, very very much, she is such a special girl, so intuitive and loving, if you've never been kissed by Lucy, well, you've just never been kissed! It was such a privilege and a pleasure to know you sweetheart, and watching you go home today made all my Christmas wishes come true. Be happy Lucy Loo, big kisses from all of us xxxxxx

On this thread by complete chance and I squealed with happiness when I saw Lucy's name! I was so worried about her as I know how stressed she was in kennels, I never got to know her properly, but I know how much this means to Lucy and all the vols and staff that have got to know her good luck lovely girl xxxx
