I second what Becky said. I've walked Twizzle a few times too and she's amazing. I think you'd be surprised at what she's capable of! Please anyone thinking of rehoming her don't look at her leg - this girl doesn't let an old injury get in the way of having a blast at life ;D, and she has a heart of gold . Just look at those pics!

Right all you lovely people out there......I have had to take Twizzle back to stay at the dogs home. I am upset to the max and feel so bad for her.
I have written a few words about her behaviour and ways while she was with me and am taking a copy down to the home.
Please read it and consider giving her a home or just please take her out for a walk.
I am available to talk to anyone who is interested in Twizzle just pm me for my tel no or ask at the home

An update on Twizz ;D She has been getting lots of one-to-one walkies and training, and she really is one of the most intuitive and clever dogs I've ever met! She does need very clear guidance, but she is absolutely thriving on learning new skills. Twizz loves coming out for walkies, so much so that the minute her kennel door opened even a fraction, she would throw herself at the door to 'bust' her way out. This is obviously not ideal, so we have been working on 'wait!' and 'basket!' and 'Let's get dressed'! Twizz learnt very quickly that before she can come out of her kennel, she has to wait before we open her kennel door, then sit quietly in her basket to 'get dressed' (ie, put on her harness, her halti and have both attached to her lead). Then she has to 'wait' and let us go out of the door first. Getting dressed in her harness has been a little difficult for Twizz. Obviously to put her injured foreleg into her harness is easy, as she naturally holds it off the floor and across her chest. But to put her good leg in, she has to use her poorly leg to balance, and this is very difficult for her. The last time I went into her kennel to put her harness on, she had come up with her own solution, and when she saw the harness she sat in a perfect 'beg' so I could put both her legs through. Ahhhhhh, she really is the most co-operative and clever little girl ever Twizz had a bit of an accident in the garden a few days ago. She has sprained her back leg and on vets advice is currently on kennel rest for a few days. Healing thoughts Twizz, I miss our daily walks sweetie For anyone who hasn't seen it, here's a bit of vid of Twizz showing off her skills.... She works so hard, this little girl is an absolute delight to be around

Just seen the YouTube video of Twizzle from the link a couple of posts ago.
She's doing so brilliantly - what a clever girl - and responds instantly to Susie's instructions.
It's well worth clicking on it and taking a look and while you're there, have a peek at Twizzle deciding she's going to get into the pool in the sensory garden - she's such a little character!
The work that's being done with her is brilliant

The vets have put her on kennel rest for a few days Lisa. She had a nasty sprain, and is on painkillers, but staffies are so brave and carry injuries as if it hadn't happened. I'm taking down some interactive toys for her after the show today to keep her mind busy
